What's New
We will be having our Kids Wish for Fish Day on June 3, 2012 and we are in need of volunteers for cooking, clean up, set up, and we need boaters. We also are in need of funds. If you can help us out in anyway, feel free to call me at 920.277.1065 and we can get you signed up. The kids thank you and so do all of us on the board. We are shooting for no more then 30 kids in 2012 and your help really does matter, so please consider helping out.
Walleye action is going strong for both the trollers and the jig fishermen. We have been jigging and using both crawlers and leeches and doing well. The average size has been 16 to 20 inches. We have caught walleyes on every reef we have gone to. This is a great sign for the summer, I hope it continues. Trolling with cranks right now is woeking well. i would suggest smaller sized cranks right now. Remember to match the hatch with your bait sizes and this will improve your catching action.
Whitebass are going strong in the river right now and catches of a hundred or more are common. Wolf river rigs and minnows seem to be the top choice right now. we like to use small cranks also. This keeps the pocketbook a little heavier and there is no downtime changing bait all the time.
Poygan and Winneconne are doing well trolling right now with smaller cranks. Horseshoe Hole seems to be the hot spot along with Clarks Bay.
Crappies and Bluegills are back in the channels with the recent warm weather. Small minnows and jigs are the ticket here.

I want to thank Angling the Great Lakes for a great time and for making the show look awesome.
